The layout of the magazine is very important and i found this layout from another magazine front cover. I thought i could use this layout as it is effective in other magazines so could work for mine. It is a simple plan to help develope my product to make it look more organised and professional.

As i was unsure on the most popular type of music genre i asked and researched into the different music genre types and found that over all pop, R&B and indie music was the highest selling music genres and from this i think when making my final magazine i will produce it using mainly a R&B genre but allow elements of other music genres to be used in my magazine. Knowning the genre type for my music magazine can help me to chose the font better to suit the genre type and it could also help when naming my magazine.

I went on to Dafonts wensite and reseached the possible fonts which i could use for the title, subheadings etc. From this i found 6 fonts which i liked the most and asked for feedback on which font they thought that i should use on my products. I found that the most popular font was Birth of a Hero so at first i tried this font on my prelim. I thought that it looked poffesional and authentic and was effective on the front of a magazine as it is eye catching. This font reminded me of Kerrangs masthead font which makes me believe further that this would be a good font to use.
